STUDENTS

Being a student is stressful!

As a student you are under pressure from parents, teachers, professors and peers to be successful. That alone can cause stress! But on top of managing all your tests, and homework, you have other commitments.  Sports teams, social life, clubs, groups, associations, bands, part time and full time jobs and volunteering all take up a significant amount of your free time.

There are also a lot of "firsts" related to being a student which creates a lot of stress. Your first interview, first job, first relationship, first break up, first driving lesson, first failure, first time living away from home, the list goes on and on.

And if that wasn't enough, you are trying to figure out your place in the world!

  • Who are you? Do you have confidence in yourself?

  • What you are good at? Your strengths and weaknesses?

  • Which college, university or grad school do you want to attend?

  • Do you even want to go to college, university or grad school?

  • What other options are there for you?

  • What is your plan after you graduate?

  • What is your career path?

These are some of the things that coaching can focus on. Contact Fyfe if you are interested in finding out more!

Are you a parent of a student?

As a parent you are constantly trying to advise, help, grow and protect your child. Coaching is an extremely powerful avenue for your child to gain insight into their uniqueness and strengths, as well as develop confidence in themselves. Coaching provides a powerful way for your child to explore and reflect on who they are and who they want to be .

Parents, if you were to look back at your life:

  • What do you wish you knew about yourself in high school, that you know about yourself now?

  • What self-development things do you wish you focused on more at a young age? Goals, visions, dreams, purpose?

  • If you were to give your 15 yr old, 21 yr old, or 28 year old self advice on overcoming struggles, stress etc what would you say to yourself at these different stages?

  • What internal structures, systems, and techniques do you use to stay motivated, balance stress and find fulfillment?

The answers to these questions are some of the topics and concepts that coaching can focus on for your child. Your child is not you!! They are unique and they have their own gifts, strengths, challenges, and weaknesses. They need to develop and create their own internal systems, and techniques to deal with stress and navigate their life.

Starting to explore, discover and develop who you are and who you want to be at a young age can only help for the future!
